Why SAZ?
"I was a first-year taking Zoom classes. It was challenging to make connections online. Yet when SAZ reached out to me and invited me to join their events, I immediately felt a sense of belonging and community. The girls were charismatic and full of life. I knew I made the right choice when I crossed. My sisters are the best addition to my life. I continue to grow in this organization through the positions I've held. My proudest moment has been as the Dean of the Pi Class! My sisters have inspired me academically by being my biggest support system. I wouldn't be here without my bigs and my beautiful Dean! SAZ continues to make the strongest, smartest, most resilient, and bright Diamonds"

"I joined SAZ because of the immediate connection I felt with the sisters that I met. Sofia, Zeta Mu #10 and Liz, Zeta Xi #1 were the first sisters of SAZ I met and they both made me feel welcomed and comfortable upon meeting them, and that meant a lot to me when I first started at UCLA. Each of my sisters has a quality that I admire, and I knew I wanted to surround myself with them and be a part of the community they created with each other. They are a group of resilient, supportive, and loving women I could not imagine my life without. A huge shoutout to my twin pillars, my big Ariana, Zeta Nu #10, and my ace Dianey, Zeta Omicron #1.”

"SAZ created a high energy, welcoming, and safe
space where I felt that I could thrive during my time at UCLA. I value that SAZ prioritizes fostering a community where everyone can grow professionally and academically. Everyone in SAZ is constantly motivating each other so that we become the best version of ourselves. We have built bonds and memories that will last us a lifetime. Why SAZ?
“As an incoming freshman last year, I wanted to be involved in something different from what I’m used to. I was introduced to ΣΑΖ by my big, Manaya ‘Alitza’ Alonso, ΖΟ #6. I was very uncertain about Greek life, I didn’t think it’d be a right fit for me but after giving it a chance, I was very grateful to step out of my comfort zone. I was welcomed with open arms to a beautiful sisterhood. ΣΑΖ brings different attributes in each sister, it’s a safe place and I look forward to creating more memories with each of my sisters and potential sisters”

“SAZ stood out to me because of its philanthropy. This topic was very close to my heart and advocating for this cause was something that I could envision myself doing. Additionally the genuine connection I felt with my sisters was a heart warming sense of community in which I felt supported and empowered. We were all different but yet still came together to encourage each other to grow academically, socially, and professionally. I always felt understood, heard, seen, and most essentially loved by everyone.”

Why SAZ?
“I choose saz because of how supportive and amazing these girls are. Entering my 3rd year, I felt isolated from others. While exploring ways to immerse myself with community, I came across SAZ. SAZ was unique. Everyone had different goals and passions yet each of us had a bond. Bonding never felt forced and each bond was unique. With SAZ I’m never alone and I’m always supported.”
