About Zeta Chapter

Herstory

Sigma Alpha Zeta is a Greek letter collegiate sorority, rooted in multiculturalism. Our organization was created specifically to cater to self-identified women of any and all cultures, races, and ethnicities. Founded In 1992, a group of women at California State University, Fresno came together with a vision for a sorority that was embedded in multiculturalism. They saw the need to create a Greek letter organization that would enrich the university experience for women of color.

On October 14, 2006, our seven founding mothers established Sigma Alpha Zeta's Zeta Chapter at UC Los Angeles. With tremendous help from sisters from our other chapters, we have since grown to be a highly respected organization on our campus, dedicating our time and efforts to our academics, sisterhood, and community.
